Marc Jacobs Daisy

I have been a Marc Jacobs perfume lover already for a couple of years. I just love the sweet, flowery scents and I am in love with the packaging. When having emptied an other flacon, I purchased this one on Schiphol. I never had the Eau de Toilette of the Marc Jacobs Daisy range, and I thought it was time to finally buy it.

I know the prices of Marc Jacobs Daisy are just not friendly for a perfume. I bought this with discount, but a normal flacon of 50 ml is €65,-. Sixtyfive euros. Yes, I know, but I fell desperately in love with Marc Jacobs’ perfumes, I just can’t help it. I have emptied in the previous years Daisy Eau So Fresh and Daisy Dream, but I thought it was time for a bit more lighter and a tiny bit less sweeter scent. This one is perfectly in the middle of that.

Besides the name, the perfume does not really cover any daisies. As the site of Marc Jacobs describes the perfume;

The Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette 1.7 oz is an interpretation of Daisy with a more fruity and bubbly scent story. Notes include raspberry, grapefruit, pear, violet, wild rose, apple blossom, musk, cedarwood and plum. A weighted glass bottle features a gold-tone cap with a soft daisy decal in pink, white and yellow.

I could have not described it better. When you have a first sniff of the perfume, you smell the friendly fruity tone it has, but when wearing it a bit longer it will change in to a more warmer smell with tones of cedarwood and plum. I would say there is a bit of vanilla in it as well. Daisy is a womanly perfume, giving a fresh, sweet and warm swirl you even smell yourself while wearing it.

Daisy is an Eau de Toilette, so you might say the scent will not last that long. That is absolutely not the case with this perfume. I don’t know how they did it, but this perfume is lasting way longer than most of the other Eau de Toilettes I ever sprayed on me. Maybe it is due to the fact that it is on the pricy side, I don’t know, but I am sold. The plus side of a Eau de Toilette is that they are a bit less heavier than normal perfumes, which is nice to have during warm days in the summer.

This perfume is defenitely going in my top 5 (together with the other Marc Jacobs perfumes). I don’t know what triggers me about these perfumes, the name, the design, or really only the smell? Just the complete picture makes this, again, one of my all time favorites.
